'A number of individuals' stabbed on prepare in Huntington

Two males have been arrested after stabbing “several people” on a prepare.

British Transport Police are at the moment responding to the incident which occurred on an LNER prepare certain for Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Armed officers attended the scene and two males had been arrested following 999 calls at 19.39 GMT.

More than 30 officers had been despatched to the spot, No particulars have been launched about how many individuals had been stabbed, or how critical the accidents had been.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson stated: “Police have arrested two men this evening after more than 30 officers were called to Huntingdon train station.

“We got a call at 7.39pm reporting that several people had been stabbed on the train.

“The incident is still ongoing and the A1307 has been closed as you approach the town centre.”

The LNER web site confirmed that “emergency services are dealing with an incident between Stevenage and Peterborough”.

All traces are at the moment closed till the incident is resolved.

“Trains operating between these stations could also be delayed or modified by as much as 60 minutes.

“Major disruption is expected by the end of the day,” the assertion stated.
