A spokesperson for the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, which offers payroll providers to NHS employees in Wales, stated, “In line with NHS Wales' guidance on recovering overpayments, debt recovery agencies may be used as a last resort when all local efforts to recover public money owed have been exhausted”.
