Chhattisgarh: Naxalites kill police informer; Use of torch autos for street development in Bijapur

In separate incidents in Chhattisgarh’s insurgency-hit Bijapur district, Maoists allegedly killed a 45-year-old police informer and torched three autos engaged in street development work.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Pankaj Shukla stated that the militants killed a Gopaniya Sainik (secret police informer) on Friday and dumped his physique on Ganglur Road below Bijapur police station space.

Another official stated that the police recovered the physique of the person, recognized as Ando Ram, and additional investigation is on.

In one other incident, Maoists torched three autos engaged in street development work in Cherkanti Patelpara village of Bijapur police station space on Friday, the official stated.

He stated the militants torched a truck, a JCB machine and one other heavy car, which was getting used for development work below the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
