West Bengal Electricity Minister Arup Biswas met the officers of Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) on Friday to assessment the preparations for the cyclone Yas, which is more likely to hit the coast of Bengal on May 26.
The minister mentioned that enough preparations are being made for the post-cyclone preparedness.
Biswas mentioned that transformers and electrical poles are being saved prepared as cyclonic storms have an effect on the facility provide.
“We had meetings with CESC officials in the city and officials of the electricity department in the state. We have sent a large number of transformers and electric poles to various places. We want to be ready to deal with the situation this time. We have put our teams in every block to take immediate action when the storm passes, ”mentioned Biswas.
