Tottenham say they’re supporting Destiny Udogi after it was confirmed the Italy defender was allegedly threatened with a gun by a soccer agent.

On Monday, BBC Sport reported that an unidentified Premier League footballer was focused in London on 6 September.

Another individual can be accused of blackmailing and threatening by the identical individual through the alleged incident. There is not any report of anybody being injured.

The Metropolitan Police, who’re investigating, stated a 31-year-old man was arrested on 8 September on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent, blackmail and driving with no licence. He has been granted bail till the investigation continues.

In an announcement on Tuesday, Spurs stated: “We have been providing support to Destiny and her family since the incident and will continue to do so. This is a legal matter, we cannot comment further.”

The 22-year-old joined Spurs from Udinese for £15million on a five-year deal in the summertime of 2022, and instantly returned to the Serie A membership on a season-long mortgage.

He returned to Tottenham for the beginning of the 2023–24 marketing campaign and made 76 appearances for the membership.

The Italian has performed 10 occasions this season, together with Tuesday night time's 4-0 win over Copenhagen within the league stage of the Champions League.
