Former Bradford Bulls participant Keven Appo flees UK over rape prices

A rugby league participant who was charged with rape, sexual assault and two counts of assault has fled to his residence nation of Papua New Guinea.

Keven Appo, 25, who performs for Bradford Bulls, was granted conditional bail at 16:00 GMT on November 26, Bradford Magistrates Court heard on Monday.

By 20:40 GMT that night Mr Appo had flown from Manchester Airport to Dubai and later reached Papua New Guinea through a connecting flight.

Prosecutor Fiona Newcombe advised the court docket that extradition proceedings are underway to carry Mr Appo again to the United Kingdom to face the costs in opposition to him.

Ms Newcombe advised the court docket she had given her home and automobile keys to the rugby membership supervisor.
