Joe Root, Ireland girls’s star Richardson wins ICC Players of the Month awards for August

England captain Joe Root claimed the International Cricket Council’s Player of the Month honor for August, beating Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah and Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi.

Among girls, Ireland all-rounder Ameer Richardson received the award final month.
