
A person who killed a “love” father in a street assault in Aberdeen has been put in jail for seven years.
47 -year -old Derek Pearson refused to assault Steven Johnson at Carmelight Lane in March 2023 and recorded a particular protection of self -defense.
50 -year -old Mr. Johnson fell and hit his head and later died within the hospital.
A jury discovered Piercene responsible of homicide after a 5 -day check within the High Court in Aberdeen.
Charlie Reid, daughter of 25 -year -old Mr. Johnson, described her father as “the most amazing person” ever.
Speaking outdoors the courtroom, he stated: “Our hearts are completely broken, but he (Piercene) is going to jail.
“He is not strolling on the streets, he isn’t smiling on us and when he sees us, all of the Cockie is performing, he’s going to jail, that is the primary factor.”
CCTV showed Mr. Johnson talking to a woman – Pearson's partner at the time – at one time in Aberdeen.
Piercene was also found guilty of assaulting her in the night.
All three ended out, where there was a deadly attack.

Judge Graham Buchanan described the case as a “tragic incident”.
He stated: “This case reveals that restricted aggression equivalent to a single punch might have tragic situations”
“You allowed your anger and frustration to get higher than you – pointless violence misplaced his life to a person”
The court heard how Piercene pushed Mr. Johnson against a wall, pinned him with his elbow, repeatedly struggled with him, and repeatedly punched him on his head.
Due to this, Mr. Johnson dropped his head from a stable vehicle and road, and he fainted.
He was so seriously injured that he died in the Aberdeen Royal Information two days later.

David Mogach, while defending, said that Pierceon experienced “lack of management in warmth the second”.
He described the incident as “actually tragic” and “not supposed”.
He stated: “None, and it consists of Mr. Piercene and his household, nothing however sympathy for Mr. Johnson's household and associates and never all of them.”
He said that for what had happened, Piercene was “very regret”.

Mr. Johnson had five sons, two daughters and several grandchildren.
His brother Ronnie Johnson said about the conviction: “It doesn’t deliver Steven again.
“Derek Pearson took my brother's life. The evidence was getting heavy. We can sleep a little easier.
“This may be very troublesome as a result of now we have misplaced Steven. They have discovered seven kids, who have gotten to stay their lives with out their father.”
