On Sunday, the queues of passengers exterior an airport terminal had been unfold as an “IT issue” on Sunday.
A Posted on X by London Stanstead Airport At 06:20 BST mentioned: “Due to an ongoing IT issue, many airport systems have been affected, including check-in, goods and security.
“The problem is now resolved, however some arrival and departure could also be topic to delay,” it continued.
A passenger, who did not want to name, said that she was trapped in queues on the terminal for hours and missed her flight.
She said she reached Essex Airport at 04:45 and the passengers were “out of the door”.
“I talked to a girl who was already standing for an hour and we weren’t going wherever close to the doorway,” she mentioned.
“The queue for security was across the door and nook.”
The woman from Chelmsford said she left after waiting for more than two hours, as she had a flight boarding for Greece and was told that it was taking off without the rest of the passengers.
In its post, the airport said: “Engineers are working onerous to revive all programs as quickly as potential.”
