M25 crash: Two-vehicle collision closes motorway in Kent

The M25 has been closed in Kent after a two-vehicle crash within the early hours.

The accident concerned a lorry and a highway sweeper on the anti-clockwise carriageway between junction 5 for Sevenoaks and 4 for Orpington.

The motorway was closed in each instructions shortly after the crash at about 05:10 BST however the clockwise carriageway has since reopened.

Diversions have been put in place however motorists are suggested to count on delays and keep away from the world.

Jennie Schofield, who received caught within the tailbacks, mentioned the visitors was “backing up as far as you can see”.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service mentioned 4 hearth engines have been despatched to the scene and crews used hydraulic chopping gear to rescue a kind of concerned within the crash.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service mentioned: “Ambulance crews attended the scene and were joined at the scene by the air ambulance service.

“One individual was handled on the scene earlier than being take to Kings College Hospital by highway in a severe situation.”
