A father has informed how he used his automotive to kill a person suspected of stabbing 10 folks on a prepare.

Dave Scott, 57, was ready to choose up his daughter at Huntingdon railway station in Cambridgeshire on Saturday night when a person armed with a knife tried to enter his automotive.

Mr Scott mentioned: “He was within the mild on the time, so he was form of in shadow and he was coming straight in the direction of me. At that time I might see he had a knife in his hand.”

“He got here straight to my automotive and, if I keep in mind accurately, he tried to open the door however couldn't get in and he began biting the roof of my automotive.”

Mr Scott drove away and turned his BMW around “considering if I might I'd most likely hit her once more whether or not she was up or not, however at that time police appeared from in all places”.

He said he was a few yards away from where police arrested him and that he had left his car on with a light on so officers could see better.

After the arrest Mr Scott, of nearby St Ives, said the “adrenaline was nonetheless pumping”, and when he phoned his daughter Helena, it was a “large aid” to learn she was not on that train.

His train was stopped elsewhere in Cambridgeshire and they made alternative arrangements to get him home.

On Tuesday, British Transport Police, which is leading the investigation, said rail worker Samir Zitouni was still “critically unwell” in hospital.

Rail operator LNER has described his actions as “nothing in need of heroism” after he allegedly saved a girl from being stabbed. Three other people are in hospital.

Mr Williams, of no fixed abode, appeared at Peterborough Magistrates Court on Monday and was remanded in custody until his next court date on December 1.

As well as being charged in connection with Saturday's incident, he is also accused of a knife attack on another train in east London earlier in the day.
