Hollywood star Mark Ruffalo is ready to collaborate with Yorgos Lanthimos for the filmmaker’s subsequent characteristic movie, Poor Things.
As Variety reported, the three-time Oscar-nominated actor will star alongside Emma Stone, who collaborated with Lanthimos in his final movies The Favorite and Willem Dafoe.
This movie from Searchlight Pictures and Film 4 relies on the novel of the identical identify by Scottish author Alasdair Gray.
Tony McNamara, who labored with Lanthimos on The Favorite, will adapt the script.
Gray’s novel, which was printed in 1992, is a Frankenstein-esque story set within the Victorian-era. It is described as a narrative of “love, discovery and scientific adventure”.
It follows Belle Baxter, a younger lady (Stone) who’s introduced again to life by an eccentric however good scientist.
Stone will produce the mission together with Ed Ginny and Andrew Lowe of Lanthimos and Element Pictures.
Mark Ruffalo just lately titled the HBO collection I Know This Is True which received him an Emmy Award. He will star in Netflix’s The Adam Project alongside Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer Garner and Zoe Saldana.
The actor may also revisit his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) character Bruce Banner aka Hulk for the upcoming collection She-Hulk.
