The 30-share BSE index ended 60.05 factors or 0.16 per cent greater at 38,417.23. Similarly, the NSE Nifty superior 21.20 factors or 0.19 per cent to shut at 11,355.05.
Major gainers within the Sensex pack have been HUL, TCS, ITC, Asian Paint, HDFC, HCL Tech, Nestle, Axis Bank, Powergrid, Bajaj Auto, SBI, and Infosys, rising upto 1.77 %. On the opposite hand, main losers have been MY&M, Bajaj Finance, NTPC, Ultrachem, ONGC, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, LT, HDFC Bank, Kotak Bank, Tech Mahindra and Bajaj Finserve, falling upto 3.46 %.
Bourses in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tokyo ended with losses, whereas Seoul settled with beneficial properties. Stock exchanges in Europe have been buying and selling a constructive notice in early offers.
Global oil benchmark Brent crude was buying and selling 1.73 per cent decrease at USD 41.91 per barrel.
In the foreign exchange market, the rupee depreciated 21 paise to finish at 73.35 in opposition to the US greenback.
In the earlier session on Friday, the BSE Sensex tanked 633.76 factors or 1.63 per cent to shut at at 38,357.18 whereas the NSE Nifty plunged 193.60 factors or 1.68 per cent to shut at 11,333.85.
