Medical reimbursement will probably be supplied to all retired workers of HPBSE: Himachal CM Jai Ram Thakur

Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Thursday introduced that each one retired workers of Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education could be supplied the power of medical reimbursement like different retired workers of the state.

Addressing a delegation of workers and pensioners of Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Thakur stated, “This decision of the state government will benefit more than 750 retired employees of the board.”

“The state government is committed to the welfare of the employees and pensioners and has launched several schemes for their welfare. The government has launched schemes like Mukhyamantri Himcare to ensure that no one in the state is deprived of medical facilities due to lack of funds. The previous government had expressed its inability to provide the facility of medical reimbursement to the pensioners of the Board on 24 March 2014 and discontinued the facility from April the same year. According to the estimates, an amount of Rs 1.61 crore will be spent every year to get the benefit of this scheme to the pensioners of the board. The board will bear all the expenses from its own resources,” Thakur stated.
