Narinder Batra re-elected as FIH President for a second time period

India’s outgoing Narinder Batra was on Saturday re-elected because the President of the International Hockey Federation (FIH) for a second time period in the course of the digital forty seventh Congress of the sport’s world governing physique.

Batra, who can also be the President of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), defeated his rival, Belgium Hockey Federation chief Mark Coudron, by a margin of two votes.

To emerge as a winner within the on-line voting course of, Batra garnered 63 votes towards 61 of his opponent, which was contested by 124 member associations.

Batra will maintain this place until 2024.
