Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the 900-metre-long Mahakal Lok Corridor on the Mahakaleshwar temple right here.
The value of the Mahakal Lok Project is Rs 856 crore, of which the primary section is being developed at Rs 351 crore, an official stated.
Modi together with Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan congratulated the sadhus current on the venue.
He pressed a distant button to unveil a Shivling duplicate to dedicate the Mahakal Lok to the nation.
The Mahakaleshwar Temple Corridor Development Project will present higher amenities for guests to the temple which is devoted to Lord Shiva and is among the 12 Jyotirlingas (illustration of Lord Shiva) in India.
The hall has about 108 fantastically ornate pillars fabricated from intricately carved sandstone depicting Ananda Tandava Swaroop (dance type of Lord Shiva), 200 idols and idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess Shakti.
Before inaugurating the hall venture, Modi supplied prayers on the temple.
