PM Modi meets Sunak at G20, discusses commerce, safety

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held talks along with his British counterpart Rishi Sunak on key areas of cooperation corresponding to commerce, mobility, protection and safety.

The assembly came about right here on the sidelines of the G-20 summit. This was the primary assembly between the 2 leaders after the Indian-origin chief took over because the British Prime Minister a couple of weeks in the past.

After the assembly, Modi mentioned that India attaches nice significance to sturdy India-UK ties.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) mentioned the 2 leaders expressed satisfaction on the state of the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and progress on the ‘Roadmap 2030’ for the long run relationship.

“The two leaders appreciated the importance of working together in bilateral and multilateral fora, including the G20 and the Commonwealth,” the assertion mentioned.

“Important areas of cooperation such as trade, mobility, defense and security were discussed,” the Ministry of External Affairs mentioned.
