Pune: MCOCA towards chain snatchers and jeweler’s gang who purchased looted jewelry

Pune metropolis police have invoked the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) towards a gang of chain snatchers and a jeweler.

Acting on a tip-off to police constable Ajay Gaikwad and police hero Chetan Chavan throughout the investigation of chain snatching crime within the stone space, the crime department workforce led by senior inspector Hemant Patil and assistant inspector Santosh Tasgaonkar arrested infamous felony Deepak Parashuram Mali. did. 22) Mundwa together with his two teenage associates Mukesh Salunke (19) of Mundwa and Samrat Bhati (19) of Chandan Nagar.

Police stated the gang is allegedly concerned in over 20 chain snatching crimes in several elements of Pune metropolis.

Senior Inspector of Crime Branch Hemant Patil moved a proposal for imposition of MCOCA towards Mali and two members of his gang. DCP (Crime) Srinivas Ghadge despatched the proposal to Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ashok Morale.

After verification of felony circumstances towards Mali, Morale approves the proposal and MCOCA is imposed towards Mali and his associates. ACP Sunil Pawar is investigating the matter.
