The Pune City Police has arrested three individuals in a case of theft in 4 temples within the central areas of town.
Police have recognized the accused as Rameez Iqbal Hakeem Khan (26), Vinayak Bandu Karale (32), each residents of Kaswadi in Bhawani Peth and Anil Mindha Patel (28) of Budhwar Peth.
According to a press launch issued by the police, a staff led by Shrihari Harirat, senior police inspector of Khadak police station, accused Khan of stealing valuables and different objects price Rs 1.5 lakh from the Nakoda Bhairav Jain temple in Ganesh Peth on May 17. Arrested on fees. And on May 18, he stole Rs 800 money from the donation field of the Accra Maruti Copra temple at Shukrawar Peth.
The police have recovered money, a two-wheeler and silver jewelery price Rs 1.85 lakh from the accused.
Meanwhile, a staff led by Farskhana police station senior inspector Rajendra Landge arrested Patel on Wednesday, May 5, on Wednesday, for allegedly stealing Rs 900 from the Mhasoba Mitra Mandal Ganesh temple in Wednesday Peth.
Also, on April 27, the police staff of Vishnu Tamhane, senior police inspector of Samarth police station, arrested Karale within the case of theft of jewelery from the Shitaladevi temple in Nana Peth.
Police mentioned that in 4 circumstances of temple theft, a complete of Rs 1,93,900 price of products was recovered from the three accused.
