BBCA nine-month-old child has died after being attacked by a canine in south-east Wales, based on Gwent Police.
Officers and paramedics went to a property on Crossway in Roseate, Monmouthshire, at round 18:00 GMT on Sunday.
The canine was seized and faraway from the tackle, the drive mentioned.
CH Superintendent John Davies mentioned: “Officers remain at the scene and will make further inquiries as the investigation progresses.”
Residents mentioned they noticed police vehicles and ambulances on the quiet residential road on the time of the incident.
