A Russian overseas ministry spokesman mentioned Thursday that even the concept of a conflict erupting between Russia and Ukraine was “unacceptable”, the newest in a sequence of official statements aimed toward allaying fears of a Russian offensive.
“We have already mentioned repeatedly that our nation doesn’t intend to assault anybody. Ministry spokesman Alexei Zaitsev mentioned, “We also consider the idea of war between our peoples as unacceptable.”
Russia, which seized Crimea from Ukraine in 2014 and has backed an insurgency in jap Ukraine, has constructed up forces on its territory in Ukraine in addition to neighboring Belarus.
Kiev rejected Russia’s model that the separatist battle in jap Ukraine is a civil conflict that has nothing to do with Moscow, saying Russia is backing separatists with covert forces on the bottom.
