A safety zone has been arrange following an outbreak of chook flu in Angus.
Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), also called H5N1, was reported at Over Escrivy House, Kingoldrum, within the Kirriemuir space.
Chief Veterinary Officer Sheila Vos introduced the report Friday night time.
A 3 km (2 mi) safety zone and a ten km (6 mi) monitoring zone have been created across the website.
Restrictions have been carried out to cease the motion of poultry, carcasses, eggs, used poultry litter and manure to stop additional unfold of the illness.
An announcement printed on the Scottish Government web site, signed by Ms Voas, mentioned the announcement was made official at 20:15.
It mentioned: “The Chief Veterinary Officer (Scotland) has shaped the opinion that extremely pathogenic avian influenza is current, or was current on the premises up to now 56 days, and has knowledgeable Scottish Ministers of that conclusion.
“This proclamation takes effect from the date and time it is made, unless amended or revoked by a further proclamation.”
