Sri Lanka Premier League to be held in December

The Sri Lanka Premier League (LPL) might be held from December 4 to 23, the nation’s cricket board SLC introduced on Thursday.

This would be the second version of the island’s home T20 competitors.

The registration of overseas gamers is to begin from September 24.

SLC has not introduced the beginning of the 2021–22 home season because the scheduled kick-off on 5 September didn’t happen.

SLC was to launch a brand new First Division format this season with 26 golf equipment within the league event, competing beneath two teams. The group leaders have been to play a four-day ultimate.

All 26 golf equipment have been additionally to play in main limited-overs league tournaments. The December deadline for the completion of the event now hangs in limbo as the present quarantine lockdown is barely set to finish on October 1.

Colombo Cricket Club (CCC) are the present league champions whereas Nondescript Cricket Club (NCC) are the restricted overs champions.
