Actor Suriya was honored with the Best Actor award on the 68th National Film Awards ceremony. Talking about her National Film Award win, Suriya advised ANI, “Really grateful to the National Film Awards jury and the Government of India. There are so many emotions running through my mind. I have so many people to thank. It should definitely start with my director Sudha Kongara Prasad. We feel like we have come a full circle with the National Award, having won five National Awards for Soorarai Potru. We couldn’t have asked for more. And, after almost 13 years, a Tamil film won the Best Feature Film award. It’s very special.”
Surya was in Jyothika’s coronary heart. He stated, “My wife always shines a light on me. So, I am very happy to see her receiving the Best Film award from the President of India.” The actor concluded by saying that that is certainly a second that he’ll always remember.
