Three individuals convicted of killing Ian Ogal within the East Belfast after a non-jury trial have been sentenced to a minimal of 20 years in jail.

The 45 -year -old was crushed and stabbed on 27 January 2019 close to his dwelling at Cloat Place.

43 -year -old Walter Erwin from Leachfield Street in Belfast, 42 -year -old Robert Spiers from Milllers Park in Dandonald and 38 -year -old Glenn Renny, whose deal with was given as Ballibart Caravan Park, convicted of homicide in final November.

In February 2024, two different individuals who had been convicted for the homicide of Mr. Ogal had been additionally sentenced within the Belfast Crown Court.

Jonathan Brown, 39, Mark Sewell, 46, from Whomnony Hill in Dandonald and 46 -year -old Glenmount Drive in Newtownbabby was instructed that he would serve at the least 17 years earlier than being thought-about for parole.

Judge Shri Justice McFarland described Ian Ogal's homicide as a “pre -planned murder” and “revenge vigilant attack”.
