Why do hemp farmers have to cover their crops?

Martin Cessford's hemp farm covers 5 hectares, with crops reaching greater than 6ft tall – but its actual location in Angus stays a thriller.

That's as a result of hemp is a sort of hashish, and regardless of containing lower than 0.2% of THC – the psychoactive element of marijuana – misinformation stays an issue.

“Other farmers who have grown it have had trouble with people who have ruined the crop,” Martin stated.

A handful of farmers like Martin have been rising hemp in Scotland for the previous 4 years on a trial foundation.

Advocates say profiting from the alternatives supplied by the crop can profit the atmosphere, the financial system and our well being.
