This season has seen two Championship wins in addition to six attracts and 5 defeats within the league for the Saints, who had been relegated from the highest flight final season.

Those two wins got here at house to Wrexham on the opening day of the season and at Sheffield United on the final day of September.

After defeating Northampton Town and Norwich City within the EFL Cup, they had been eradicated from the competitors in a 2–1 defeat to Liverpool.

Still has been sacked after 5 consecutive matches with no win, which included two attracts and three defeats.

He advised BBC Radio Solent after Saturday's defeat that there was no “immediate improvement” for the crew after one other defeat.

“If I had discovered a direct answer I’d have discovered it a couple of month or two in the past.

“I don't suppose there's any speedy answer to be actually sincere with you, and I believe whoever it’s, there's an enormous job and I knew there was an enormous job coming right here.

“I said a few weeks ago that there are a lot of things that need to change that haven't changed yet because we haven't had time to do so, but clearly there's still a lot of work to do.”
