New Zealand opening bowler Tim Southee believes that the upcoming two-Test sequence in opposition to England will function a “great preparation” for the Kiwi crew forward of the ultimate of the World Test Championship in opposition to India.
New Zealand are enjoying two Tests in opposition to England at Lord’s (2–6 June) and Birmingham (10–14 June). The WTC ultimate is scheduled from June 18.
The 32-year-old, with 302 Test wickets, stated New Zealand’s focus is on defeating England in the mean time, however admitted that the sequence could be a very nice alternative for an enormous battle in opposition to India.
“It would be great to take those matches to the finals. So for us, it is a very good preparation for that final, but we are looking at a two-match series against a quality English side under their circumstances, ”Saudi stated throughout a digital press convention on Friday.

New Zealand had their first coaching session on the Ages Bowl after a three-day powerful quarantine upon touchdown within the UK. Southee stated that post-quarantine coaching at Southampton can also be very useful as they’ll play from India on the similar venue.
“I think we’ll probably be in the same room when we come back and it’s good for people who haven’t come here and are able to experience it,” he stated.

“And when you come back for the finals, you feel a little more comfortable after spending some time here.”
