10 injured in blast at firecracker manufacturing unit in Palghar district of Maharashtra

At least 10 individuals had been injured when a fireplace broke out at a firecracker manufacturing unit in Dehne village of Dahanu taluka of Palghar district of Maharashtra on Thursday morning.

According to the district administration, the incident occurred at round 10.30 am when a sudden explosion occurred within the manufacturing unit. Though the employees managed to flee from the manufacturing unit, a few of them suffered accidents because of the explosion.

After three hours of exhausting work, the hearth was introduced underneath management with the assistance of three fireplace tenders.

Speaking on the incident, CPI(M) MLA Vinod Nikol mentioned, “The manufacturing unit is functioning for the final 20 years. Despite warnings from some locals and staff, some work was happening contained in the manufacturing unit within the morning as extremely inflammable explosives had been stored there. However, the administration ignored the warning and the incident occurred. He mentioned 10 individuals have been injured up to now, whereas fireplace officers are conducting a search operation contained in the manufacturing unit.

Nicole mentioned all of the injured had minor accidents.

Some injured staff have been shifted to Dahanu Hospital, some others to a hospital in Vapi, Gujarat.
