As per data shared in Parliament, within the first two years of EWS reservation being applied, in 2019 and 2020, 132 individuals in central authorities jobs took benefit of it. Most of this two-year interval was affected by the nationwide lockdown resulting from Covid.
“As per DoPT (Department of Personnel and Training), the number of persons availing EWS reservation is – as on 1.1.2020-85; 1.1.2021-132,” stated Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik in a written reply in Lok Sabha on April 5.
Bhowmik shared this data in response to a query by BJP member Ramdas Chandrabhanji Tadas.
Data of those that have availed EWS in central authorities jobs after January 1, 2021 just isn’t obtainable. There can also be no knowledge on EWS advantages recipients for jobs in state authorities sectors.
According to Bhowmik’s reply in Parliament, the federal government has offered Rs 4,315 crore to varied ministries for the implementation of EWS reservation within the final two years. “State governments issue EWS certificates to all EWS candidates who apply for the certificate and who fulfill the criteria for EWS reservation,” the minister had stated.
Recently the middle introduced to recruit 10 lakh personnel in authorities jobs within the subsequent 18 months.
The Constitution (103rd) Act, 2019 was handed by the Parliament in January 2019. An order to this impact was handed on January 19.
