18 heli-route declared for Uttarakhand

Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday introduced 18 new heli-routes to attach the excessive altitude areas of Uttarakhand in addition to three new air routes on Dehradun-Pithoragarh-Dehradun, Pithoragarh-Hindon-Pithoragarh and Pantnagar-Pithoragarh-Pantnagar sectors. .

Scindia made this announcement after inaugurating the brand new terminal constructing of Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. According to the federal government, developed at a price of Rs 325 crore, the brand new constructing will have the ability to deal with 1,200 passengers throughout peak hours.

Scindia together with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and different dignitaries flagged off the helicopter service on numerous routes.

Later in a number of tweets, Scindia mentioned, “We will be building 4 heli-hubs in the country starting from Juhu, Guwahati, Delhi and Bangalore (HAL airport). We have identified 10 cities and 82 routes to develop helicopter corridors across the country, starting from 6 between Juhu-Pune-Juhu; Malalakshmi Race Course-Pune; Gandhinagar-Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar.”
