The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a director of a personal agency within the ongoing probe right into a case registered in 2018 in reference to the chit fund rip-off.
The accused has been recognized as Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director, Tulip Infonet (India) Pvt Ltd.
According to the CBI, Singh had are available in contact with Soumyrup Bhowmik, the then chairman of Burdwan Sanmarg Kalyan Sangathan (a “ponzi company”) in 2011.
Singh, conspiring with Bhowmik, illegally transferred and misused Rs 419.9 lakh from the belief’s account. Singh helped Bhowmik open a checking account in Durgapur by issuing false identification and deal with certificates.
The accused can be produced within the courtroom of Chief Judicial Magistrate Paschim Bardhaman in Asansol (West Bengal).
