Aamir Khan on movies releasing on OTT platform: ‘As a movie particular person, I’m very anxious’

Aamir Khan has expressed concern as cinema halls are closed and flicks are taking the streaming route. Theaters are closed in lots of elements of the nation, together with Maharashtra, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, whilst movies have began theatrical launch. Akshay Kumar’s Bellbottom will hit the theaters on August 19.

“Some films are releasing on OTT platforms, and as a film person I am very worried. I hope things get better in the near future. He also appealed to the people to get vaccinated. “Talking about reopening cinema halls is not easy. Theaters can be opened only when the health condition improves, and we as a society control the Covid-19 situation, we are all trying and working on it,” the actor mentioned. “As more and more people get vaccinated, things will get better,” he mentioned.

Due to the pandemic, many films have opted for streaming releases. However, there are lots of tent poles and big-ticket movies awaiting a theatrical launch. These embrace Aamir’s Laal Singh Chaddha, Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone’s 83 and Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi.

Laal Singh Chaddha was earlier slated to hit the theaters on Christmas 2020 however bought postponed as a result of pandemic. Now the makers are planning to launch the movie in theaters on Christmas this 12 months.
