Kartik Aaryan’s Freddy has discovered its feminine lead in Alaya F. The actor on Saturday took to social media to announce that she has joined the movie. Sharing an image holding the clapboard of the movie, Alaya expressed her pleasure about becoming a member of the romantic-thriller.
“Freddy’s ready! So happy to be associated with the most wonderful team!” Alaya captioned the picture. She was welcomed by her co-star with a cute picture of her cutting a cake that read “Welcome Alaya”.
Along with the picture, Kartik wrote in a candy gesture, “Welcome @alayaf from Freddy.”
Alaya commented below the publish, “When did you decide to post this!!” To which Kartik replied, “Freddie loves to surprise.”
Kartik began taking pictures for the movieHelmed by Shashanka Ghosh, who final directed the Kareena Kapoor-Sonam Kapoor-starrer Veere Di Wedding (2018). Like Veere, Freddy can be produced by Ekta Kapoor.

Freddy is collectively produced by Balaji Telefilms and Northern Lights Films. This shall be Alaya F’s second movie with Ekta Kapoor after the upcoming U Turn remake, for which the actor began taking pictures in July. Original, a 2016 Kannada supernatural thriller starring Shraddha Srinath within the lead position. It was written, directed and produced by Pawan Kumar, who additionally directed its Telugu-Tamil remake starring Samantha Akkineni.
