Amid an escalating Ukrainian disaster, US Vice President Kamala Harris will journey to Poland and Romania subsequent week to unite her European allies towards Russian aggression.
“Her go to will reveal the power and unity of the NATO Alliance and US assist for NATO’s japanese flank allies within the face of Russian aggression. It may even spotlight our collective efforts to assist the folks of Ukraine,” her deputy press secretary Sabrina Singh mentioned on Friday.
She is scheduled to journey to Warsaw, Poland and Bucharest, Romania March Sep 11.
“During her meetings with the leaders of Poland and Romania, the Vice President will advance our close coordination in response to Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified invasion of Ukraine,” Singh mentioned.
“They will discuss our continuing support for the people of Ukraine through security, economic, and humanitarian assistance and our determination to impose severe economic consequences on Russia and those complicit in Russia’s invasion,” she mentioned.
Harris’s conferences may even deal with how the United States can additional assist Ukraine’s neighbors as they welcome and take care of refugees fleeing violence, Singh mentioned.
