“The agreement provides a comprehensive package for each family being rehabilitated. The number of resettled families in Tripura are 6,959 families with a total population of 37,136. So far 3,696 families have been rehabilitated and the rest are in the process of rehabilitation. Apart from under-construction families, housing construction for 2,407 families has been completed so far. Various certificates like Permanent Resident Certificate of Tripura (PRTC), Scheduled Tribe certificate and Aadhar card for inclusion of name in voter list are being issued to the rehabilitated Bru families,” mentioned an MHA official.
