Amitabh Bachchan says he labored in Dhanbad coal mines earlier than movies: 42 years of Kalapathar

Actor Amitabh Bachchan celebrated 42 years of his movie Kala Patthar, which depicted the dire plight of coal mine staff. Based on the Chasnala mining catastrophe, the movie was directed and produced by Yash Chopra.

Bachchan To rejoice the forty second anniversary of the movie, he took to his social media platform. He shared a couple of footage from the movie and wrote, “42 years of Kala Patthar..!!! Oh, is that so !!! Its been some time..and so many incidents from my personal experiences in film when i worked in coal department of my Calcutta company,my first job before joining films..actually working in coal mines in dhanbad and asansol Had been …”

Bachchan performed the function of an offended younger man, a disgraced service provider navy captain Vijay Pal Singh, who seems to be a coal mine employee. The movie was praised for its practical portrayal of the dire situations of the employees within the mines.

With screenplay written by Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, Kaala Patthar featured stalwarts of the Hindi movie business together with Shashi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Sanjeev Kumar, Rakhee Gulzar, Parveen Babi, Neetu Singh, Prem Chopra and others.

Praised for its star forged and excellent performances of musical compositions, the movie is taken into account one of many classics in Bollywood. Rajesh Roshan has written the lyrics of the music in Kala Patthar.

On the work entrance, Amitabh Bachchan’s movie Chehre is releasing in theaters on August 27. He can be taking pictures for Kaun Banega Crorepati 13. Apart from KBC, he has Jhund, Brahmastra and Alvida within the pipeline.
