Even as a Special Investigation Team (SIT) continued its probe, Uttarakhand Police invoked the Gangsters Act towards three accused within the Ankita Bhandari homicide case.
Under arrest, the three accused – Pulkit Arya, son of former BJP chief and state minister Vinod Arya, resort supervisor Saurabh Bhaskar and assistant supervisor Ankit Gupta – have already been booked below sections 302 (homicide), 365 (secret kidnapping or abduction). A case has been registered below for wrongfully imprisoning individual), and 201 (by cause of lacking proof of offense or giving false info to display offender) of the IPC.
According to the FIR, Pulkit was the gangster and used to earn cash by participating in unlawful actions in and across the resort together with Gupta and Bhaskar.
The FIR additionally states that the accused disturbed the general public peace and order by committing heinous crimes within the space.
