Centre-back Anwar Ali is gearing up for his much-awaited debut within the Indian Super League (ISL) after signing up with FC Goa for the present season.
Ali was barred from taking part in aggressive soccer by the AIFF in 2019 after he was identified with a uncommon coronary heart situation, apical hypercardiomyopathy (HCM).
The defender performed his first sport for Tektro Swades United earlier than transferring on to Delhi FC by way of Minerva Academy after a break of over a 12 months.
Ali starred for Delhi FC within the Durand Cup and within the 2021 I-League qualifiers, scoring 4 targets later, and completed as the highest scorer for his group.

Speaking on the deal, FC Goa Director of Football Ravi Pushkur stated, “We are very happy to bring Anwar to FC Goa. He is clearly one of the finest players of his generation and this is more evident since we last Have been watching him closely for a month and a half, while he is training with us.”
Ali began his profession with Minerva Punjab after which performed for the India U-17 group within the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
After good performances, the teenager was loaned to Indian Arrows for the 2017–18 season, earlier than signing with Mumbai City FC. Another mortgage for Indian Arrows got here after the following season.
