In the context of the disaster in Afghanistan, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla mentioned on Thursday that the armed forces is not going to permit political turmoil in some other nation to have an effect on India.
Birla is on a week-long go to to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh as a part of the ‘Parliamentary Outreach Program for Empowerment of Panchayati Raj Institutions’.
Birla mentioned that he’s visiting the area to strengthen the Panchayati Raj system and democratic establishments.
Asked in regards to the latest political disaster in Afghanistan, Birla mentioned India favors a democratic system that’s flourishing in all nations.
“We have full confidence in our armed forces that they will not allow political turmoil in any other country (Afghanistan) to affect India,” Birla mentioned.
On the latest tensions alongside the LAC, Birla mentioned, “India is capable of protecting its borders and its people. And the country is against expansionism and cross-border terrorism.”
He additional mentioned that as a result of expansionist strategy of some nations, tensions come up on the border.
