Arsenal to face MLS All-Stars led by Rooney

MLS stated on Tuesday that Premier League chief Arsenal will present the opposition for the Major League Soccer All-Stars, who shall be managed by DC United head coach Wayne Rooney.

It will mark a second look within the All-Star Game for Arsenal, who might come to Washington, DC’s Audi Field for the July 19 match as newly topped Premier League champions.

The north London membership strengthened their grip on the prime of the standings after shifting eight factors forward of second-placed Manchester City with a 4-1 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.

“It’s great that we are playing against the MLS All-Stars in Washington DC in July,” Arsenal supervisor Mikel Arteta stated in an announcement. “Our US tour final summer time was nice preparation for the season.

“The match against the MLS All-Stars will be a good test ahead of the 2023/24 season.”

The All-Star Game shall be his third for Rooney.

The ex-England ahead was within the MLS All-Star staff that confronted Atlético Madrid in 2019 and performed towards MLS Best in 2011 as a member of Manchester United.

Rooney stated, “I’ve had a front row seat to watch the growth and development of Major League Soccer, first as a player and now as a manager.”
