Electric two-wheeler maker Ather has signed a cope with Flipkart to permit clients to purchase scooters from the e-commerce platform. Ather Chief Business Officer Ravneet Phokela made the announcement in a LinkedIn submit and stated that this system is at present being carried out within the Delhi-NCR area.
“We have partnered with Flipkart to launch the Ather Energy 450X Gen 3 scooter on the Flipkart platform. We are initially rolling it out in Delhi NCR, and soon it will be extended to the rest of the country as well. Exciting stuff and more to come,” Focella stated in a LinkedIn submit.
Responding to a person on the platform, Fokela clarified that it’s not meant to exchange the corporate’s offline channel and Ather plans to broaden its distribution footprint to 90 cities and 120 expertise facilities by 2023.
“We are not expecting an unknown customer to search for Ather 450X on Flipkart and place an order there. They would always go to an experience centre, take a test ride, experience the product and then place an order. Alternatively, a conscious customer may be comfortable placing an order on Flipkart as he has already gone through the offline shopping journey,” stated Fokela.
According to monetary specificFlipkart co-founder Sachin Bansal had invested $23 million in a Series D spherical of funding for the electrical two-wheeler firm in 2020. Bengaluru-based Ather Energy was based in 2013 however introduced its first scooter solely in 2016. The firm took one other three years.
