Sumariwala stated the federation has determined so as to add a nationwide open throw occasion in Delhi on February 26 and a nationwide open soar occasion in Thiruvananthapuram on March 1.

“We will continue to organize the national javelin throw competition and look forward to marking Neeraj’s Olympic gold with National Javelin Day events on August 7 in all states and union territories,” he added.

The AFI president stated slots have been earmarked for district conferences (March 1 to 31), state conferences (April 1 to May 25) and sports activities board conferences (August 1 to 30).
