Ayodhya land deal: Rahul Gandhi mentioned ‘treachery within the title of Lord Ram is irreligious’

Commenting on the alleged rip-off within the buy of land in Ayodhya by the Ram Mandir Trust, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Monday mentioned that “betrayal in the name of Lord Ram is adharma”.

“Shri Ram himself is justice, truth, faith. Betrayal in his name is adharma,” he mentioned in a tweet in Hindi.

Opposition events, together with Congress, SP and Aam Aadmi Party, have alleged that the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust had purchased a plot price Rs 2 crore in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya at a value of Rs 18.5 crore.

Earlier immediately, Congress chief Priyanka Gandhi additionally mentioned that the misuse of donations by devotees is an insult to her religion.

“Crores of people offered their offerings at the feet of the Lord with their faith and devotion. Misuse of those donations is irreligious and a sin and an insult to their faith,” she mentioned in a tweet in Hindi.


AAP’s Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh and former minister within the Samajwadi Party authorities Pawan Pandey on Sunday alleged that land price Rs 2 crore was introduced at an inflated worth.

“The plot of land in Ayodhya is registered with numbers 243, 244 and 246. Its cost is Rs 5.80 crore. It was bought by Sultan Ansari and Ravi Mohan Tiwari from Kusum Pathak and Harish Pathak for Rs 2 crore. Two witnesses to this purchase were Anil Mishra, a member of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust and Rishikesh Upadhyay, the Mayor of Ayodhya. Bought it at 7.10 pm. In the next five minutes, Ram Janmabhoomi Trust and Champat Rai bought the same land from Ansari and Tiwari for Rs 18.5 crore. Rs 17 crore was transferred through RTGS,” Sanjay Singh, AAP in-charge of Uttar Pradesh had mentioned throughout a press convention in Lucknow.

However, the belief vehemently contested the allegations, saying that every one gross sales and purchases are made by correct communication and settlement, and signed papers of the contract.

“All court fees and purchase of stamp paper is done online and the amount is transferred to the seller’s bank account through online transactions,” mentioned an announcement signed by Champat Rai, normal secretary of the belief.

Responding to the allegations, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma mentioned that an official reply can be given by the belief.

Hitting again on the opposition, he mentioned, ‘The official reply shall be given by the belief. I’ll say in a single line that there are some folks within the opposition who don’t like something optimistic within the context of Ram Janmabhoomi,” Sharma was quoted as saying by PTI.

He mentioned, “Sometimes they say that Lord Ram was imaginary, and Ram Setu did not exist… They do not hesitate to leave any chance to defame Ram Janmabhoomi.”

He additionally mentioned that when all obstacles within the building of the Ram temple in Ayodhya had been eliminated, the opposition “started” aanargal pralaap” (ineffective noisy and crying) to derail it.
