Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist wrestler Bajrang Punia arrived in Moscow on Monday for a 26-day pre-season coaching camp to be held until January 21.
This is Bajrang’s first coaching after performing in Tokyo.
“This is my first training camp after the Olympics and I hope it will be great,” Russia’s Bajrang stated in a press release.
“I have chosen Russia because its wrestlers have won the most medals at the Olympic Games and World Championships. I will benefit from training with experienced wrestlers here.”
The Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) of the Sports Ministry has sanctioned a complete of Rs. authorized his go to at a price of Rs. 7.53 lakhs.
Jitender and Anand Kumar have accompanied Bajrang as his companion and physiotherapist respectively.
Bajrang is ready to take part in worldwide competitions together with the UWW rating occasion, the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in addition to the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
