Bangladesh beat Australia by 5 wickets 67-5 on Wednesday to go 2-0 up within the five-match Twenty20 collection.

Afif Hossain and Nurul Hasan’s 56-run undefeated sixth-wicket partnership proved essential as Australia have been in a positive place to stage the collection regardless of being restricted at 121-7.

Bangladesh reached the victory mark with eight balls to spare.

Afif, who completed the sport with a boundary, remained unbeaten on 37 for 31 as he hit 5 fours and a six. Hassan was on 22.

Afif mentioned, ‘We knew we needed to maintain calm, maintain wickets in hand. Nurul performed effectively so there was no strain on me both.

Australia pacer Mitchell Starc and his new ball associate Josh Hazlewood dismissed Bangladesh openers Soumya Sarkar and Mohammad Naeem within the fourth over. But Shakib Al Hasan hit Starc for 3 consecutive fours to launch the strain.

Andrew Tye dismissed Shakib (26) with a slower supply which helped the group get again within the sport once more.

Australia tightened their grip on the match when left-arm spinner Ashton Agar dismissed skipper Mahmudullah for 0 and leg-spinner Adam Zampa dismissed Mahedi Hasan for 23.

But Afif and Hasan performed with warning and aggression to disclaim Australia victory.

Australia captain Matthew Wade mentioned, “We were in good shape today (with the ball), but unfortunately we struggled with the bat in the last four overs.”

Fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman returned figures of 3-23 as Australia determined to bat first. Fast bowler Shorful Islam claimed 2-27.

Mitchell Marsh once more scored 45 runs for Australia, which included 5 fours.

Australia’s batsmen handled the spinners higher after getting upset with them within the first match.

Alex Carey reversed Nasum Ahmed twice for 4 and gave the group a constructive begin.

But Mustafizur and Mahidi beat Australia 31-2 within the first powerplay.

Marsh and Moises Henriques placed on a 52-run stand for the third wicket, which was not very best for making strokes.

Shakib Al Hasan (1-22) broke the partnership, dismissed Henriques with an arm-ball as he scored 30 off 25 with three fours and a six.

Shorful achieved the largest breakthrough by taking the essential wicket of Marsh.
