Bangladesh cricketer studies fixing in Girls’s T20 World Cup

A member of the Bangladesh ladies’s cricket staff has reported approaches to spot-fixing on the Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa, the nation’s board mentioned.

Bangladesh Cricket Board ladies’s wing president Shafiul Alam Nadel advised the Daily Star newspaper that the participant had reported the incident to the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) of the International Cricket Council.

“Now, the remainder shall be handled by the ACU.

“We do not need jurisdiction over these issues as this shall be seemed into by the ACU. But, sure, we know it.”

Spot-fixing refers to manipulating a part of a sport to provide a given end result for betting functions.

According to media studies, a Dhaka-based tv channel has shared an audio dialog wherein the participant was contacted.

The ICC and BCB weren’t instantly accessible for remark.

BCB chief govt Nizamuddin Chowdhury advised cricket web site ESPNcricinfo that the incident was “very sensitive”.

“Our players know the do’s and don’ts,” Chowdhary mentioned.

“If there is an approach, they know they have to inform the ICC ACU in accordance with incident protocol.”

The match will finish on February 26.
