Veteran actor-singer Barbra Streisand believes a remake of her 1976 movie A Star Is Born, starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, was a “wrong idea”.

In an interview with Australian discuss present The Sunday Project, Streisand stated that the 2018 remake was much like the 1976 movie during which she starred reverse Kris Kristofferson.

“At first, after I heard it was going to be completed once more, it was going to be Will Smith and Beyonce, and I believed, That’s attention-grabbing. Really making it completely different once more, completely different type of music, built-in actors, I believed it was a cool concept. So, I used to be stunned after I noticed that it was much like the model I did in 1976,” she stated.

When the interviewer advised it is perhaps a praise to him, Streisand stated, “I don’t know, but I thought it was the wrong idea. Look, it was a huge success. I can’t argue with success.” But I do not care as a lot about success as I do with originality.”
