The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Monday appointed Harjinder Singh, Secretary General, Ice Hockey Association of India, because the Chef de Mission of the nation’s contingent for the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Singh was additionally the Chef de Mission of the Indian contingent for the twenty third Winter Olympic Games, which was held in Pyeongchang, South Korea in 2018.
IOA President Narinder Batra shared two images of himself with Singh after Singh’s appointment.
The twenty fourth version of the showpiece, which started in 1924, can be held from February 4 to twenty on the Beijing Games.
The United States, Britain, Australia, Lithuania and Canada have determined to boycott the Beijing Winter Olympics over alleged human rights abuses in China. But Russian President Vladimir Putin not too long ago confirmed that he would attend the opening of the Winter Olympics in Beijing as a present of unity.
Kashmir’s Arif Khan is the one Indian athlete to have certified for the upcoming Games to this point.
