Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab President Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday raised the problem of youths of the state not becoming a member of the Army because the recruitment course of was stopped halfway.

Mann, MP from Sangrur, demanded that the military ought to conduct written examination of about 20 thousand youth of the state on the earliest to finish the recruitment course of.

Bhagwant Mann advised the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, ‘The recruitment course of for youth in Punjab was began by the Indian Army in 2021. At least 20,000 youths had handed the bodily check. However, the written examination for a similar was postponed by the Defense Ministry. Due to this, about 20 thousand youth of Punjab have hanged within the stability.

The AAP MP mentioned that in Sangrur Lok Sabha constituency alone, round 4,000 youths have cleared the bodily check and are ready for the written check.

Mann requested the Defense Ministry to finish the method on the earliest and conduct the pending written examination on the earliest, in order that the youth of Punjab get a chance to serve the nation.

“If the government does not complete the recruitment process on time, thousands of youth will cross the prescribed age limit and their dream of joining the army will be shattered forever,” Mann mentioned.
